CP Brady expertly transformed the congested Carpenter Road & Whitmore Avenue intersection into a streamlined, signalized junction, alleviating rush hour bottlenecks that had long plagued the area. Funded by Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds, this project represented a significant overhaul, tackling complex challenges like utility conflicts with high-pressure gas lines and the proximity of an irrigation canal bridge just 100 feet away. Brady’s strategic approach to geometric and structural design was crucial, as was the careful timing of construction to avoid summer utility restrictions and ensure winter work on the canal bridge. By orchestrating these intricate elements, CP Brady delivered a project that improved traffic flow and enhanced safety and reliability in a critical part of the community.
